3 Luxury Key West Hotel Experiences by Christine OKelly When on vacation, your hotel is probably one of the most important aspects of your trip. Whether you think about it or not, you will be spending a good deal of time in your room. Making sure you have picked a great room for you, your family, or your guests is a good way to help ensure everyone is well rested for each day's activities. If your vacation experience includes staying in the lap of luxury, many of the island's hotel rooms will surely knock your socks off. From large beach front rooms overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to expansive suites located right in the center of town, this island has all of the bases covered when it comes to luxury accommodations. This article will take you through three luxury hotels for those who feel like being pampered. The Cuban Club Located right in the heart of busy and bustling Duval Street, the Cuban Club is well known throughout the island as a place to soak up the sun and breathe in the sweet island breeze. This Key West hotel was originally built in 1917 as a club for Cuban cigar makers. The businessmen belonging to the club, along with their families and friends, quickly made the Cuban Club the center of Cuban culture and community on the island. The club was restored in 1983 and is now a luxury Key West hotel. The rooms at the Cuban Club range in size from large 900 square feet to a massive 2,000 square feet. Each room also comes with a full kitchen, cable TV, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, access to the pool, and off-street parking in an active neighborhood. Nearly a century after it was built, the Cuban Club is still bringing Cuban flair to the island. 1800 Atlantic If oceanfront luxury is something you crave on vacation, then one option is the hotel at 1800 Atlantic. The hotel is known for being a romantic destination for honeymooners and couples looking for some alone time while on vacation. 1800 Atlantic is a fully equipped Key West hotel and each room has a great view from its own secluded balcony. The inside of 1800 Atlantic is fully furnished and very posh. The units in the hotel are either two or three bedrooms, each with two private bathrooms, a large living room, a fully stocked wet bar, a private phone line, washer and dryer, and large whirlpool located in the master bathroom. The Sunrise Suites For those who want not only luxury, but also activities, the Sunrise Suites may be the place for you. At the Sunrise Suites, there are not only wonderful rooms, but there are also plenty of things to help you stay in shape even when on vacation. From activities like tennis, swimming, and a fitness center on grounds, to bicycle rentals and Smather's Beach, this hotel has a little of everything.
The suites at the Sunrise are all two bedroom and each comes complete with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, and many other things that will help you enjoy your stay on the island even more.
